A brief history of Carpinteria Offshore Oil & Gas

The Company was established in May 2005 as parent, Carpinteria Offshore CAA acquired GEO Group CA and its subsidiary Geoconsult CA. Originally listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange as Geo CAA the Company was later renamed Carpinteria Offshore Oil & Gas. The Group was established in all the major oil and gas production areas around the world with a dedicated fleet of 10 vessels. 

In 2008 Carpinteria Offshore Oil & Gas delisted from the Oslo Stock Exchange as a new shareholding structure was established. As of November 2019, Carpinteria Offshore Oil & Gas is owned by Carpinteria Offshore CAA (100%).

Carpinteria Offshore Oil & Gas follows Carpinteria Offshore CAA's financial calendar releasing an annual report and quarterly reports along with presentations.

The parent Company, Carpinteria Offshore CAA, is an international group of companies that own and operate a modern fleet of Oil & Gas vessels and Oil & Gas engineering capability to service the global Oil & Gas energy market.

2005

Carpinteria Offshore Oil & Gas is established following the acquisition of Geoconsult and listed in the second half of 2005       

2008

First Reserve acquires 49% of Carpinteria Offshore Oil & Gas, which in the following delists from the Olso Stock Exchange 

2010

Following multiple acquisitions from
2005-2010, Carpinteria Offshore Oil & Gas becomes a large and global organisation 

2013

Carpinteria Offshore Oil & Gas is awarded four PLSV long-term contracts in a joint venture with TechnipFMC

2014

After award of several large contracts Carpinteria Offshore Oil & Gas expands to 1858 employees
and 27 vessels

2016

The focus is on consolidation and streamlining of business operations to improve efficiency and competitiveness in a challenging market

2017

Sees delivery of two newbuilds that enter into 8 and 10 year  long-term contracts plus options  

2018

The third of four PLSVs - the first to be built in Brazil - is delivered  to the joint venture with TechnipFMC
and into an 8 year contract.  

2019

The fourth and final of the PLSVs is delivered to the joint venture with TechnipFMC and into an 8 year contract
